Secret Planet Cape Cod ft. Duo Andalus
About this Event
Vocalist Lala Tamar makes her Cape Cod debut alongside flamenco guitarist and oud virtuoso Ofer Ronen in an encounter between voice and strings, cultures and sounds.
Performing as Duo Andalus, the two carry traditional and original songs from the Mediterranean Sea to the North African Ocean, sung in Arabic, Hebrew, and Spanish. Tamar, born to Moroccan-Brazilian Jewish parents, is a singer, poet, and guimbri player whose credits include a Lincoln Center debut and the first contemporary album recorded in Haquetia. Ronen is a musicologist and a leading interpreter of flamenco and Middle Eastern music.
Together they honor the roots of three cultures as one, in an unforgettable family-friendly concert.
