About this Event

This exciting new conference combines the Secondary teacher and School technicians conferences into one spectacular event.

We will have our usual wide range of workshops with four slots over the day, and a vibrant marketplace of local opportunties. Our Keynote speaker is Abbie Bray, a lecturer in quantum technologies at UCL and co-director of the EPSRC CDT in Quantum Communication and Quantum Computation, who will be talking about her unusual journey from her highly intersectional background into physics and work in inclusivity in science. She will focus on conversations around barriers and role models into today’s STEM landscape, as well as address issues surrounding leaky pipeline from secondary education to higher education within STEM.

Our list of workshops and sessions includes the following:

  • Reducing Cognitive Load
  • Challenge of High Demand Questions - AQA
  • Efficient mock Exam analysis
  • Python in the classroom - research skills
  • Applying forensic Science in a classroom context
  • Required practicals with wireless sensors
  • Reducing Exam Anxiety in advance
  • Efficient Assessment
  • Tour of RAL facilities (location TBC)
  • Requisition management with Lablogger

Book your ticket today and take advantage of our special two for one offer - we look forward to seeing you there!
