Second Wednesdays: Jazz at the Kramer

Join us at the Betty Mae Kramer Gallery & Music Room on the second Wednesday of each month for an evening of jazz! This month's performance features pianist Allyn Johnson and vibraphonist and drummer Chris Barrick.

Admission is FREE for both events, but advanced registration is required due to limited capacity. Reservations are limited to 2 tickets per person. For group reservations, please contact us directly at [email protected].

Jazz at the Kramer is presented by Paul Carr's Jazz Academy of Music in partnership with the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County and curated by Paul Carr.

Allyn Johnson

Native Washingtonian, Allyn Johnson, is a multi-talented musician, composer, arranger and producer whose trademark sound gives brilliance and fortitude to the art of jazz improvisation. Allyn, a prodigy who began playing piano at the tender age of five, got his start playing piano for the youth choir in his uncle's church. There he honed his inner musical gift.

Chris Barrick

Chris Barrick is a DC-based vibraphonist, drummer, and percussionist with a wide variety of experience in multiple genres of music. As an orchestral percussionist, he has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, and the American Pops Orchestra, as well as extended theater productions and shows with the Shakespeare Theatre Company (DC), the Kennedy Center and Signature Theater
