Matt Holland will present on Fr. John Markoe, Creighton University priest and the forming and activities of the DePorres Club in Omaha, from 1947 to 1960. This club pioneered many Civil Rights campaigns, pushing for new legal and civic interventions to help fight the systematic racism that was prevalent in Omaha at the time.
