The Thirteenth Season of the Second Sunday Basilica Recital Series continues with organist, AKI AMAI. Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Aki holds a BA degree in music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a MA degree in nonprofit administration from the University of San Francisco. She currently serves as a music director of music at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Burlingame, CA, and a grants manager for the Zellerbach Family Foundation. As one of the most sought-after pianists, organists, and accompanists in the Bay Area, Aki has collaborated with numerous arts organizations, schools, musical theaters, and churches. She has toured both nationally and internationally, with highlights including performances at the Sydney Opera House, Grace Cathedral, and Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal. Aki studies with Dr. Angela Kraft Cross.
The program will also be livestreamed on the Mission Dolores Basilica Facebook page.
The program is free and a suggested donation of $15 will be accepted in support of the Basilica Music Ministries
