Start off your 2025 with a poetry open mic!
Dust off those acrostics, sestinas, rispettos, and Ghazals. It's that time of the month again, Second Sunday Poetry Jam, your only semi-regular monthly poetry open mic hosted by the wonderful Gold Town.
I encourage you to bring poetry you may have written or bring a selection of your favorite poets to read. Poetry Jam is a great way to practice reading in front of a gentle and supportive audience, and it's also a great way to receive feedback. You also aren't required to read, as some folks just come to hang out and hear cool poetry.
It's also not limited to just poetry. We've had folks share fiction, non-fiction and prose.
2 p.m. to 4ish p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Gold Town Nick, in downtown Juneau.
