Free Ceili Dance instruction offered!!!! Next Generation happens before so come early to listen!
Bring your kids, your parents, your grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and have a laugh learning some traditional Irish house party dances! All ages and levels of experience are welcomed and encouraged.
Irish Ceili (pronounced Kay-lee) dancing is a progressive form of group dancing with simple steps and forms that are repeated, making it easy for newcomers to pick up and follow. Similar to square dancing, there will be teachers helping dancers perform the steps to live music.
Our monthly Ceili is held on the second Sunday of the month in conjunction with the Next Generation Music Session which happens from 1pm-3pm every month at the historic Irish Center in Mt. Airy, Philadelphia.
