Come dance, drink mimosas at the Art Table, and learn from local Blues and Balboa instructors.This month, we will be starting the dance with a Ballroomin' Blues lesson by Lila Faria & Dillon Arevalo, followed by DJ'd Ballroomin' Blues & Balboa music!

Blues dancing is an umbrella term for a family of living Black American dances that evolved across the U.S. and act as the roots of many other movements. The different styles were shaped by different Blues music genres from the 1800’s to today. These genres vary in instrumentation, rhythms and tempos leading to a variety of different expressions throughout Blues idioms.
Ballroomin' Blues refers to a collection of traveling Blues dances done to jazzier Blues music by artists like Sidney Bechet and Ella Fitzgerald.
Balboa is a smooth, energetic swing dance from the 1930s, known for its close embrace, subtle body movements, and intricate, shuffling footwork, developed for crowded dance floors.
FREE Beginner Lesson: 12:00 to 12:30pm
