Join us this Saturday for our monthly Harvest Share initiative at Howe Meadow, in partnership with Food Rescue US - Akron! Together, we are bridging the gap to ensure our neighbors who can't easily reach the market still get access to fresh, healthy, local food.
Everyone deserves real food, and this is a simple, powerful way we can look out for each other as a community. While our local farmers and makers donate their remaining harvest at the end of the market, you can participate directly while doing your regular Saturday shopping.
How It Works:
Add an extra item to your bag: While you shop, purchase an extra item from any vendor: think fresh produce, baked goods, or crisp herbs.
Drop it off: Bring your extra purchase to the designated collection table right at the CVFM Info Booth during market hours.
Meet the team: Volunteers from Food Rescue US - Akron will be at the table to chat, share guidelines, and answer questions about how this food gets directly to local families, seniors, and moms who need it most.
Let's make sure nobody gets left behind. Thank you for investing in our neighbors and making our community a more welcoming place for everyone.

The Cuyahoga Valley Farmers Market (CVFM) is your year-round Saturday morning destination for fresh, local, and sustainable food in Northeast Ohio.
Our outdoor Summer Market runs May through October at Howe Meadow (4040 Riverview Road, Peninsula, OH), right in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. From November through April, our indoor Winter Market moves to Old Trail School (2315 Ira Road, Akron, OH). We are open every Saturday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, rain or shine, serving Akron, Cleveland, Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson, and our surrounding communities.
