Second SATURDAY April Hike: MISSION PEAK

Y'all ready for new heights?!

Mission Peak is a popular hike for a reason. Not only will it challenge you in a beautiful way, but you'll also get amazing views of South Bay and different mountain ranges in the Bay Area. Come join us for this amazing opportunity for gorgeous views and to discover new strengths.

Here are a few highlights:

Hike day: This will be on a SATURDAY. This is different than our usual Sunday hikes. It will also be Passover and Easter/Resurrection Sunday weekend.

Hike start location: Ohlone College in Fremont, CA (Check out directions ahead of time)

Hike difficulty level: Hard. This hike, in general, is a full incline to the top. For those who've done this from the Stanford Avenue side, it will be a bit different. Hiking from the Ohlone College side will be a gentler, more gradual incline than the Stanford side. This side is slightly longer than Stanford Ave's side (6.75 miles from Ohlone College vs. 6.2 miles from Stanford Ave side ). This hike can take 3-5 hours depending on the pace. We'll start together, but please go at the pace that's suitable for you. We'll plan to reconnect at the peak for those who plan to go all the way, and finishing the hike at our own on the way back down.

Exposure/Shade: This side of the hike offers mixed exposure and shade. The beginning will be mostly exposure (so, chillier in the morning and likely sunnier on the way back down). The middle has a fair amount of shade. There's more exposure towards the top.

Facilities: Restroom facilities won't be available during the trail until we get closer to the top. Please plan accordingly.
