💚 Why We Play
Matt loved to golf. From a young age he mowed extra lawns to have funds for green fees. Over the years his skill grew and he found the links to be one of his greatest joys. A cherished video we have of Matt in his last months of life depicts him making a great shot to the green, and turning to the camera with an elated smile, proclaiming “Golf is Life!”.
Yes it is, in the case of this tournament! Matt loved people, and he loved helping them. He did so in his choice to be an organ and tissue donor. We gather for this tournament to celebrate both Matt and organ / tissue donation. The Arkansas Donor Family Council, a partner of Southern Legacy of Life serves donor families and recipients, educates the public, and works to ensure that final heroic acts of generosity – like Matt’s -- can change the world.
What to Expect
We’ll kick off the morning with a shotgun start at 8:30 AM in a four-person scramble format. Your $400 team entry includes everything you need for a great day on the course: green fees, cart, lunch, drinks, and player gifts.
Enjoy friendly competition with prizes for Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and more. Don’t forget to bring a little extra cash (check, card, and phone payments also accepted) for our split-the-pot raffle, where you can enter digitally or with cash for a chance to win while supporting a great cause.
Mulligans available for $20 each the morning of the tournament.
