ABOUT OUR GUEST: Marcus Sterling (He/Him)
Marcus Sterling began his dancing journey in 2007 while an undergrad at Oregon State University. Drawn to social dance, he dove headfirst into dances like Night Club 2 Step, Country 2 Step, Hustle, and of course, West Coast Swing. He now teaches in the Portland area, coaching social dancers and competitive students alike. He enjoys helping people increasing not only their practical ability, but their knowledge about the dance as well.

3:30 pm Register, warm up, and volunteer to set up
4:00 pm Intermediate WCS Workshop with Marcus: “Partnering Your Patterns”
Learn the skills needed to turn ANY pattern into a partnered moment. Not sure what a partnered moment is? No Problem! We are going over that too!
Prerequisite: No WSDC points required to attend. Make sure you are comfortable with all basic patterns and a few variations (Push, Pass, Tuck, Whip).
5:00 pm All Levels WCS Workshop with Marcus: “Macro-Musicality 101”
Ever wonder how those advance dancers use the music so well? It's not magic! ANYONE can learn it! Come learn about the big moments in the music, how to find them, and what to do with them. All you need for this class is a Left Side Pass and an Under Arm Turn.
5:30 pm FREE 1 Hour Beginner Lesson with Tandy Lucas (upstairs)
6:00 pm Social dance starts. DJ JAmes is in the house!
6:00 - 6:30 pm - Register for Competition
6:30 pm Competition Registration Ends
7:00 pm Competition Starts
7:00 - 8:45 pm Mix of Competition, Social Dancing, and Choreography showcase!
9:00 pm Competition winners are announced
9:30 pm Social dance ends & volunteer to clean up
