Come learn how to make pasta from Carmella - the owner of Melina's Fresh Pasta. Classes are hands-on and end with a pasta tasting.
About this Event

Summer is the BEST time to cook - especially fresh, hand-made Italian pasta with seasonal sauces using the bounty from the garden.

Owner of Melina's Fresh Pasta & Il Laboratorio, Carmella, and her family are from Calabria - right on the toe of the Italian boot. In this class Carmella will teach you the hand rolled pasta making traditions of Southern Italy with now with NEW SUMMER SAUCES.
This is Carmella's favorite class!

Made with flour and water and then shaped by hand, these chewy pastas pair well with any sauce. During the class we will make the dough, shapes from 3 Southern Italian regions paired with seasonal sauces using summer produce.

Campania - Cavatelli - Sauce: Summer Corn & Burrata

Calabria - Fileja - Sauce: Fresh Tomato Basil Sauce

Abruzzo - Anellini - Sauce: Peperonata

We eat what we make! Note: This is typically enough pasta for a light to medium sized meal.

Classes are held at IL LABORATORIO - our new pasta making kitchen located at 3101 Guess Rd. (NOT the pasta shop).

All participants receive a Class Recipe Book via email with the recipes from the class.

Cancellation Policy: All classes are non-refundable; however, we can move your registration to a different date if you are unable to make it to the class (must give us 7 days notice).
