Join us for Sean Britt's venue debut, presenting original compositions and swinging standards. Britt is joined by bassist Benjamin Young and drummer Willis Edmundson, New York City-based musicians who have performed with artists including Christian McBride, Kurt Elling, Bill Frisell, Gary Burton, and Victor Wooten.

In 2013, Massachusetts native Sean Britt became the first guitarist in the Brubeck Institute fellowship program at University of the Pacific. He was a member of the Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet (BIJQ), which Downbeat Magazine named the best undergraduate jazz combo in their Student Awards Poll in 2016. While in the BIJQ he performed with visiting artists including Christian McBride, Stefon Harris, and Chris and Darius Brubeck among others. Britt transferred to The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City where he received his BFA in Jazz Studies. He went on to receive a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, class of 2019. Currently Sean is professor of jazz guitar at University of the Pacific
Benjamin Young began studying violin at age 3 and graduated to double bass at age 16. An alumnus of Berklee College of Music, he’s performed with world-renowned artists including John Oates, Kevin Mahogany, New York Voices, Kurt Elling, Becca Stevens, Mario Jose, and many others. Young’s diverse musical sensibilities range from straight-ahead jazz to top-40 pop music. Now a New York City resident, Ben maintains a demanding performance schedule with Billy Harper, Jaleel Shaw, Dabin Ryu and Godwin Louis.
Willis Edmundson began studying percussion at age nine when, after five years of piano lessons, he transitioned to drums. He attended Berklee College of Music and was awarded the Armand Zildjian Scholarship in 2017. During his tenure at Berklee, Edmundson performed with Grammy award-winning artists including Bill Frisell, Gary Burton, Victor Wooten and Kurt Elling. Since graduating in 2018 with a double-degree in Drum Set Performance and Music Business, he has resided in New York City as an active musician and music teacher. Edmundson continues to perform and tour across the country with jazz trio YEStet, Sean Britt’s SB3, pianist Dabin Ryu, the funk band Jeb Bush Orchestra, and many others
