Seafood & Sounds 2026 – Event Overview
Seafood & Sounds 2026 will be a vibrant, town-wide celebration of seafood, music and community, bringing Poole to life for a full weekend of activity across the Quay, Old Town and surrounding town-centre locations.
Opening Parade
The weekend will begin with a lively Opening Parade at 11am, starting at the Slug & Lettuce Poole, processing through Old Town and finishing on Poole Quay. This colourful moment will create a strong visual launch and set the tone for the weekend’s celebrations.
Artisan Market & Town Activation
An artisan market will be curated and distributed across the town centre rather than confined to one location, encouraging visitors to explore the High Street, Old Town and Quay while supporting local traders and producers.
Live Music – Nine Performance Areas
Live music will animate the town across nine performance locations, including several new spaces. Proposed sites include:
- Opposite Truly Scrumptious
- The Fish Shambles
- Outside The Poole Arms
- The Sea Music Sculpture
- Customs House Poole
- St James’ Church (Saturday 11am–4pm / Sunday 1pm–4pm)
- Nusara Courtyard (Saturday)
- White Pepper area
- Falkland Square
Food Demonstrations
Food demonstrations will take place inside the Dolphin Shopping Centre, showcasing seafood preparation, local chefs and culinary inspiration.
Family Activities
Free children’s entertainment will be available across the town, with activity points at:
- Poole Quay
- Old Town
- White Pepper area
- Hotel du Vin Poole
- St James’ Church
Trails & Experiences
Visitors will be encouraged to explore the town through themed activities, including:
- Oyster Trail
- Cockle Trail
- Walk & Talk tours with Hattie (Sunday)
