A little bit about the play:
What begins with one chance encounter in a NYC park soon becomes a story about so much more than a dog. After twenty-two years of raising their children, Greg and Kate find themselves starting a new chapter in Manhattan. While Kate embraces newfound independence in her career, Greg struggles to rediscover purpose and connection. Everything changes when he brings home Sylvia, a spirited stray who unexpectedly challenges their marriage, their routines, and the future they imagined together. A.R. Gurney’s Sylvia is a beautiful exploration of love, change, and the unexpected ways we learn to grow. It’s a reminder that family comes in many forms, and that sometimes the greatest transformations begin with the most unexpected companions.
