Join ReCircle Society for a Sea Star Embroidery Patches Workshop + Clothing Swap—an afternoon of creativity, community, and circular fashion at Lotus House Thrift Chic Boutique.
Start your day by browsing our free community clothing swap and finding new-to-you pieces while helping keep clothing in circulation and out of the landfill.
Then get creative with our Sea Star Embroidery Patches Workshop, led by fiber artist Miranda Guardado, founder of the creative community Threads of Identity. In this beginner-friendly workshop, Miranda will guide you through simple hand-embroidery techniques to create your own colorful sea star patch.
Add your finished patch to a jacket, tote bag, shirt, hat, or another favorite piece. You can bring something from home, choose a piece from the swap, or find a treasure at Lotus House Thrift Chic Boutique and make it uniquely yours.
✨ No experience needed—beginners are welcome!

Whether you come to swap, stitch, or do both, it’s all about having fun, learning a new skill, meeting your community, and giving clothing a little more life. 💙

Info: Bring 5–10 clean, gently used men’s or women’s clothing items or purses and find something new-to-you!
The Bestie Standard: Bring something you’d feel good giving to your bestie—clean, good-condition, gift-quality pieces you no longer use.
Please no: stained, damaged, heavily worn, or smelly items; shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, underwear, socks, or children’s clothing.
Remaining eligible items will be donated to Lotus House Women’s Shelter & Thrift Chic Boutique.

Sewing Workshop
Info: This workshop is co-led with Miranda Guardado, founder of the community initiative Threads of Identity, who will guide participants through creating their own sea star embroidery patch.
Workshop attendees are welcome to come early and join our free clothing swap before the workshop begins. Browse for a new-to-you piece to personalize, or simply enjoy swapping with the community. ♻️
