Come and join The Rogues Shanty Chorus - a unique choir which meets on alternate Tuesday evenings at The Seagull (theatre), near the Pakefield cliffs in Lowestoft and sings sea shanties and maritime music.
New members are always welcome to join the UKs most easterly choir singing within sight of the Suffolk shoreline and has formed and grown since 2015 as part of a coastal cultural and heritage community project led by the Voice cLoud which set out to explore the social and historical importance of the folk music and work songs created by the fishing and sailing communities of Suffolk and East Anglia.
Doors open 7pm promptly, singing between 7.30 - 9pm
The Seagull Theatre, Morton Road, Pakefield, Lowestoft, NR33 0JH
(Please note that some sessions are not held at the theatre. Before travelling, visit http://www.shanties.co.uk/choir to confirm the correct venue.)
