Sea School returns in 2026 for an engaging after-school program designed to connect youth with the ocean. This free interactive session will feature hands-on activities led by local marine experts, educators, and conservationists. Last year’s event was highly popular, offering kids opportunities to explore marine science. This year’s programming is still being developed, but participants can expect an exciting and educational experience that fosters curiosity and an ‘ocean ambassador’ mindset. Activities will be hosted by Discovery Passage Aquarium, MERS the Marine Education and Research Society, Greenways Land Trust and the Maritime Heritage Society. The event takes place in and around the Explorer Lab at the south end of the Maritime Heritage Centre.
