These kayaking lessons provide the theory and skills for proficient kayaking at sea in moderate open sea conditions.
Includes: touring, risk assessment, efficient bracing, sculling for support, combined strokes, sustained paddling, introduction to rolling, kayak tripping with moderate winds and sea conditions
Cost $749 plus HST
Location: East Coast Outfitters, Lower Prospect (other locations when specified)
Prerequistes:
At least 16 years of age.
Paddle Canada Level-1 Sea Kayak Skills certification or equivalent skill and knowledge at the discretion of the course director.
Paddling Experience: At least 3, one-day-long kayaking trips in Level-1 conditions in different locations
Other Recommendations: Wilderness first aid (16 hours) with CPR strongly recommended.
Includes: instructor, certification fee, and course materials
Does not include kayak and gear, food, accomodations, personal items
