A rock & roll lifer, has been carving his unique path since the 1980s, when the New York City based, British-born singer/songwriter kicked off his career with a raw, soulful voice; a storyteller's sense of narrative; and the ability to blur the lines between folk, classic pop, and rock. Bruce Springsteen praised James’ music in a personal letter to the Artist.
James long list of commercial success includes: Many Songs in TV & Film; a major-label record deal; a Top 5 AAA radio hit; fronting the Columbia Records band Wood, whose debut album Songs From Stamford Hill featured the hit single ‘Stay You’ which was recognised as BBC Radio 2’s Record of the Week; His album "Sunrise On Avenue C" received the New York Music Award for Best Americana Album in 2009; 17 albums that earned widespread critical acclaim and significant radio airplay but also ranked among WFUV NYC listeners' top picks; Top 50 on the UK Albums Chart
Maddock’s latest album, ‘Forever June’, was released on 1st May 2026,
James performs regularly w/ Willie Nile, Aaron Comess (Spin Doctors), David Immergluck (Counting Crows), Brian Mitchell (Levon Helm Band) and SNL drummer Shawn Pelton and has shared the stage with many well-known artists such as Bruce Springsteen, The Waterboys, Pete Seeger, Levon Helm and many others.
After opening for Counting Crows in the US in 2024, Maddock was invited to join them again on an exhilarating 25 show European tour in September - November 2025, joined on stage by David Immergluck (Counting Crows) as the duo ‘Jimmy and Immy’. Enthusiastically received by audiences throughout the tour, this has further cemented Maddock’s reputation as a dynamic and highly regarded live performer.
Maddock continues to be a constant live presence in the U.S. and will be touring again in Europe over the summer in 2026
"POPPA JOHN BUGG" has played Electric Bass professionally since 1973 when he interviewed with Richie Havens at the Electric Lady Studios in New York City. Richie had just introduced a new Gospel Rock group called Fresh Flavor on The Tonight Show, starring Johnny Carson and wanted to add a rhythm element and there was Bug, in the right place at the right time. While on tour with Flavor, he met the Godfather of British Blues, legendary Alexis Korner. After finishing his time with Flavor, Poppa met many of NY's fine musicians, including Eric Oxendine, Murray Weinstock of Manhattan Transfer, Rob Gerstein who played with Carly Simon and world famous drummer Bernard Purdie of Aretha Franklin fame. John also worked with George Caldwell of CBS London. Hanging out in the Village John was inspired by jamming in many of the village's fine clubs including, The Bitter End, The Dug Out, The Village Gate & The Café Wha. Poppa teamed up with his New Jersey friends and are known as “The Jam Band” they are currently working in the Studio and Showcase circuit. After many years of recording at Shore Fire Studios with engineer Joseph De’Maio, his new CD “Before & After” reflects his music from ‘Before & After’ and ‘Forgiven’ his music which is ‘Now’ expressed on this CD!! John is currently working on Album no.3 “Songs for my Love Ones” Poppa’s new project Poppa John Bug “The Experience” a tribute to Richie Havens and Gil Scott Heron. Featuring their music as they performed their interpretive covers and a few of my originals that blend into that time era! Poppa got his guitar strumming influence from the one and only rhythm master Richie Havens. Poppa’s tribute to Richie & Gill are real cause he’s been on stage with Richie Havens, listen and protested with Gil Scott Heron listening to his tunes on AM radio and living during the golden age of Greenwich Village! Pam’s gutsy vocal style is sultry, and powerful, covering artists like Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Nicks, Melissa Etheridge and Alannis Morissette, as well as standards, Pop and blues, through the decades, with ease and prowess. Add to that her dulcet harmonies, which have been well-honed through years of singing with some of the great talents on many different stages, and projects.
She is a songwriter as well, and performs her original music wherever possible. You can find her original music on Apple, ITunes, Spotify and all of the streaming sites.
She brings energy and enthusiasm to all of her performances, and has been highly regarded in the music industry for many years. She plays solo, duo, or with her band, Pam McCoy Familiar Faces, at most local establishments along the Jersey Shore year round.

REDBIRD is a native New Jersey singer-songwriter and cover performer known for her heartfelt blend of folk, Americana, and social justice themes. A veteran performer in the music community, she currently serves as president of Albert Music Hall and continues to champion local music and arts preservation. Recent performances include appearances at Transparent Clinch Gallery, and the Wonder Bar. She was also nominated for an Asbury Park Music Award. She will be bringing her powerful live show all over the Jersey Shore this summer.
