Jako soubor máme za sebou 10 let praxe a 10 inscenací. Rádi bychom se s vámi společně ohlédli za našimi dvěma posledními inscenacemi WHOMAN a Wonderland a sdíleli s vámi naši tvurčí praxi
Během dvou workshopových bloků poodhalíme metody práce na těchto autorských projektech a vyzkoušíme si kreativní principy – improvizační, pohybové i vyprávěcí – se kterými jsme pracovali při jejich vzniku.
20.–22. 10. se budeme věnovat inscenaci WHOMAN.

Sdílená praxe s Ufftenživot průvodci Peter Šavel a Jiří Šimek
// WHOMAN vznikala po dobu více než dvou let ve spolupráci souboru Ufftenživot, Petra Šavela a dramaturgyně Marty Ljubkové. Tato inscenace se zabývá normami spojenými s maskulinitou a očekáváními, která z nich vyplývají pro (nejen) muže. Vycházeli jsme ze dvou inspiračních zdrojů: knihy Invisible Women od Caroline Criado Perez a díla bell hooks The Will to Change.
Během tří dnů tohoto setkání bychom si společně vyzkoušeli projít zkrácenou verzí celého procesu vzniku inscenace. Stejně jako při naší tvorbě založíme ještě před workshopem společný Google dokument, kde se několikrát pravidelně sejdeme a budeme ve stejnou chvíli na dálku psát v aktivním dialogu.
První den workshopu se potkáme v prostoru a začneme pracovat s fyzickými principy, které jsme během zkoušení objevili. Druhý den se vrátíme k textům vzniklým před workshopem a budeme přizpůsobovat naše tělesné praxe objevům v našem společně psaném textu. Poslední den se zaměříme na dramaturgické a kompoziční uchopení vzniklých materiálů a vytvoříme miniaturní verze inscenace WHOMAN.

Obě sdílení proběhnou v Žižkostele. Mezi těmito dvěma bloky uvedeme obě inscenace také v kulturní stanici Galaxie v rámci ALTA Tours a festivalu 4+4 dny v pohybu 26.10. WHOMAN a 27.10 Wonderland v tento termín proběhne i párty k našemu výročí.
Pro koho je workshop určený?
Pro kohokoliv, kdo se zajímá o divadlo a má zájem o práci s tělem. Pro kohokoliv, kdo hledá inspiraci pro vlastní tvorbu. Pro kohokoliv, kdo má chuť ohledávat svoji maskulinitu a femininitu. Pro kohokoliv, kdo zná nebo chce poznat tvorbu ufftenživot zblízka a chce nahlédnout pod pokličku. Nezáleží na zkušenostech, záleží jen na touze pracovat a zkoumat, jít do hloubky.

Jak vznikají naše inscenace a z čeho vycházíme?
Naše inscenace vždy vycházejí z fascinace konkrétním tématem, které je přítomné jak ve společnosti, tak v našem osobním životě. Díky různorodému výzkumu, studiu materiálů a sběru informací postupně krystalizují divadelní prvky – fyzické principy, texty a scénické rámce. V další fázi je pak prostřednictvím dramaturgického kódu skládáme dohromady do výsledného tvaru. Hlasíme se k tradici devising theater a k fyzickému divadlu. Naše metoda (jestli nějákou máme :-)) je ovšem něco co vzniklo mimochodem a proto vás zveme k jejími prozkoumání.

As a collective, we have 10 years of practice and 10 productions behind us. We would like to look back with you at our two most recent productions, WHOMAN and Wonderland, and share our creative practice.
During two workshop blocks, we will reveal the working methods behind these original projects and try out creative principles – improvisational, physical, and storytelling – that we used in the process of making them.
October 20–22 we will focus on WHOMAN.
October 28–30 we will focus on Wonderland.

// WHOMAN was developed over more than two years in collaboration between ufftenživot, Peter Šavel, and dramaturg Marta Ljubková. This performance explores norms associated with masculinity and the expectations they generate for (not only) men. We drew inspiration from two sources: Caroline Criado Perez’s book Invisible Women and bell hooks’ The Will to Change.
Over the course of three days in this workshop, we will briefly retrace the entire creative process behind WHOMAN. Just as we did in our creation process, before the workshop we will open a shared Google document where we will meet several times in real time and write together in an active dialogue. On the first day of the workshop, we will meet in the space and start working with the physical principles we discovered during rehearsals. On the second day, we will return to the texts created before the workshop, adapting our physical practices to the discoveries from our collective writing. On the final day, we will take a dramaturgical and compositional view of the created materials and shape them into miniature versions of WHOMAN.
Both sharings will take place at Žižkostel. Between these two blocks, we will also present both productions at Galaxie cultural station as part of ALTA Tours and the festival 4+4 Days in Motion: WHOMAN on October 26 and Wonderlandon October 27, with an anniversary party taking place on the same date.
Who is the workshop for?
For anyone interested in theatre and body work. For anyone seeking inspiration for their own creation. For anyone curious to explore their masculinity and femininity. For anyone familiar with or wanting to get to know ufftenživot’s work more closely and take a peek behind the scenes. No prior experience is required – only the desire to work, explore, and go deeper.
How do our productions come into being and what are they based on?
Our productions always stem from a fascination with a specific theme that resonates both in society and in our personal lives. Through diverse research, study of materials, and gathering of information, theatrical elements gradually crystallize – physical principles, texts, and scenic frameworks. In the next phase, we assemble them through a dramaturgical code into the final form. We align ourselves with the tradition of devising theatre and physical theatre. Our “method” (if we even have one :-) ) emerged almost incidentally, and that is why we invite you to explore it with us.

The workshop is organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Prague City Hall, in cooperation with Žižkostel.
