Sculpt It! 3D Art is a hands-on, creative exploration of three-dimensional art. Each week, young artists experiment with a new sculptural material—clay, wire, cardboard, papier-mâché, polymer clay, and more—while learning techniques to shape, construct, and bring their ideas to life. This process-focused program encourages creativity, problem-solving, and imaginative expression in a fun, supportive environment. While each class stands on its own, enrolling in the full session allows students to develop skills across multiple materials and techniques. The session concludes with a Refinement & Curation Class, where students add final touches to their work and prepare pieces for the optional Winter Art Show over the holiday break.
Fall/Winter 2025 Sessions:
Week of 10/26: Clay Creations – Learn hand-building techniques to craft figures, vessels, and abstract sculptures.
Week of 11/2: Wire & Mixed Media Sculptures – Explore bending, twisting, and combining materials to create dynamic forms.
Week of 11/9: Papier-Mâché Part 1 – Build the base structures for papier-mâché sculptures and experiment with shaping techniques.
Week of 11/16: Papier-Mâché Part 2 – Add texture, detail, and layers to sculptures, bringing them closer to finished pieces.
Week of 11/30: Polymer Clay Creations – Sculpt small, detailed forms and learn techniques for color blending and finishing.
Week of 12/7: Found Object & Cardboard Sculptures – Transform everyday materials and recycled objects into imaginative, 3D works of art.
Week of 12/14: Refinement & Curation – Refine and finalize sculptures, add finishing touches, and prepare work for the optional Winter Art Show over the holiday break.
