Explore the art of screenprinting and mixed media in this hands-on workshop inspired by exportware ceramics in Glenview and Clay Conversations: Ceramics from the Gilded to the Digital Age. Featured artist Rachel Sydlowski will guide you through one-color screenprinting, enhanced with drawing, painting, and collage techniques. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this class offers a rich opportunity to expand your creative vocabulary. All materials are provided, but feel free to bring personal items to incorporate into your artwork.
Recommended for ages 10+.
Rachel Sydlowski is a visual artist and educator specializing in mixed-media installations, sculpture, and printmaking inspired by historical architecture and native plants. Her work has been exhibited at The Bronx Children’s Museum, Dyckman Farmhouse Museum, Wassaic Project, and MoCA Westport. She holds a BFA from SMFA/Tufts, an MFA in Printmaking, and an MA in Art Education from CUNY.
