About this Event
Join us for a Screening of “The Good Person of Szechwan”!
Bertolt Brecht, the creator of “epic theater,” sought to blur the lines between storytelling and social reflection. Following in Brecht’s footsteps, Butusov created a powerful and epic theatrical canvas about the modern world, where good and evil coexist as parallel realities and characters live in a constant state of duality.
On August 9, 2025, Yuri Butusov tragically drowned in the Black Sea while he was on vacation in Bulgaria. He was 63. I deeply wish to share his work with American audiences — especially those who practice or simply love theater.
