Meet your Instructor:
Gloria Araya is an award-winning international dance educator, choreographer, and two-time Emmy recipient recognized for Outstanding Achievement in Informational Programming for Spanish-language health programs. Through her company, Ayun Movement, she blends movement, music, neuroscience, and holistic health. Gloria has taught across the globe, co-founded Go! Tango P.D. for people living with Parkinson’s, and recently presented her work at the 2024 Neuropsychoanalysis Congress in Italy. She currently teaches at East Bank Club and the Tennis & Fitness Centre in Oak Park.
Meet Your Organizer:
Yvette Lim’s dance journey began over a decade ago in the Latin dance scene, and performed with a ladies’ bachata styling team. She later discovered Kizomba, fell in love with its music and community, and co-founded Kiz N Chill, creating welcoming spaces for connection and collaboration. Yvette has been traveling to dance festivals across North America and Europe, often combining them with her love for exploring new cities.
Her passion for dance transcends any single genre—now expanding into health and wellness initiatives for dancers.

This workshop is a collaboration between Gloria Araya and Yvette Lim bringing movement, music, and holistic well-being together in one inspiring event.
Workshop details:
Please bring your yoga mat and a towel.
Reconnect with the joy of movement and the power of mindful dance in this immersive workshop designed to nourish your body, awaken your creativity, and support your wellness as a dancer—whether you’re a seasoned mover or just rediscovering your rhythm.
We begin with The Joy of Movement, an energizing and playful class that breaks the ice and gets your body moving. Set to uplifting rhythms from around the world—Soca, Afro-Brazilian,
Latin grooves, and more—this class builds cardio strength, coordination, and joy through simple patterns and expressive movement. Come as you are, move how you feel, and leave
smiling.
Next, we shift into Feet First: For the Dancer Within You, a grounding and restorative session focused on self-care and body awareness. Explore how strong, mobile, and cared-for
feet enhance your balance, turns, and control. We’ll also highlight the relationship between your hips and feet—how imbalances in one can impact the other—offering techniques to support alignment, longevity, and deeper connection to the floor.
We close with Style & Expression: Dance Beyond the Steps, a creative and exploratory class where you’ll discover how to make movement your own. Using elements of dance like space, time, energy, and body, you’ll learn to interpret music and choreography with personal style, musicality, and emotion. Through guided improvisation and artistic play, you’ll find new ways to express yourself and shape your unique performance presence.
This workshop invites you to dance with joy, care for your foundation, and explore your creative voice—all in one empowering experience.
Move. Restore. Express.
