Memory Keeper, directed by Sawsan Qaoud, follows Palestinian researcher Tariq al-Bakri, whose work reconnects Palestinians in the diaspora with their homeland through his project, We Were and We Still Are.

Through this initiative, al-Bakri helps Palestinian families return to their homeland—many for the very first time. Using social media, he documents and shares their photographs, stories, and personal journeys, preserving their connections to the places from which they came. By recording these experiences, he safeguards family histories and helps keep Palestinian memory alive for future generations.
