About this Event

You are invited to the screening of the documentary film "Tropical Utopia" on Friday, 1 November 5-7pm in the Khalili Lecture Theatre (KLT; main building, SOAS).

This award-winning film presents the linguist and philosopher Noam Chomsky and the Brazilian diplomat Celson Amorim in a conversation about neoliberalism and US imperialism in Latin America.

This event will feature a screening of the documentary (78 min.) followed by social drinks in the SOAS bar (one free drink per person) when attendees are invited to stay on and discuss this thought-provoking film.

The event is sponsored via the Politics and International Studies department, and the Political Economy research cluster.
