Scrap Appliance and Metal Drop-off

On Saturday, September 5, from 8:00 a.m. to noon, residents can take advantage of an opportunity to dispose of household appliances and scrap metal that are not typically collected during regular trash pickups. Please bring your scrap appliances and metal to the Public Services East building located at 560 S. 16th Street. Staff from West Des Moines and K3 Recycling will be on hand to assist residents with the drop-off process.
During this drop-off, items that are NOT accepted include:
- TVs and monitors
- Garbage
- Paint
- Wood
- Chemicals
- Light Bulbs
- Plastics
- Anything with food in it.
