The Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum and Pinecrest Village is proud to offer programming for scouts to earn badges, petals, loops, and patches. The programing for scouts typically fulfills a badge requirement, but additional activities outside of the program may be required. Museum admission is included in the price of the program. Each hands-on workshop will take place during a morning and afternoon session. Scouts and their families are welcome to explore the museum following their program. Space is available for lunch at the Two Creeks Town Hall.
Boy Scout Metalworking Merit Badge
(The 'lab' portion of the BSA Metalworking Merit Badge with the Blacksmithing option): Discover basic smithing skills such as forging, bending, curling, twisting and annealing. Scouts will make 2 projects - a spatula and steak flipper, which satisfies the BSA MB requirements.
*MCHS staff are certified BSA counselors for the classes we offer.
Maximum of 6 students per session.
Workshops will repeat for a morning and afternoon session-
Morning Session: 9 am to Noon
Afternoon Session: 1 to 4 pm
Textile Artist
Senior Girl Scout Badge: When you see all the colors and textures of fabrics and yarns, do you dream up a million things to do with them? Get ready to turn those visions into reality as you meet with artists, learn about the world of textile arts, and make a project in the craft that most inspires you to pick up your needles (or loom). Maximum of 6 students per session.
Workshops will repeat for a morning and afternoon session-
Morning Session: 9 am to Noon
Afternoon Session: 1 to 4 pm
Social Butterfly
Junior Girl Scout/ Cub Scout: Many early residents enjoyed entertaining guests. Attend a gathering where you will practice using good manners to show you respect others. When you know the proper way to behave in a situation you will also feel more confident and at ease.
Maximum of 20 students per session.
Workshops will repeat for a morning and afternoon session-

Afternoon Session: 1 to 4 pm
