A NIGHT OF MEMORABLE MUSIC on the lawn with my Key West friend, Scott Kirby, whose voice, guitar pickin', stories and songs will melt your heart and take you on a journey to the islands and places you know and love, or just always wanted to visit. Kirby’s Americana/Folk music is characterized by heartfelt lyrics, moving melodies, finger-style acoustic guitar, and a connection to the 1970s singer-songwriter tradition. Scott Kirby is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and storyteller known for his expressive voice and finger-style acoustic guitar, blending folk, Americana, and country influences.
Scott Kirby, originally from Concord, New Hampshire, is a modern-day troubadour who performs countless live shows across the U.S. and Canada, and tours internationally. He began his musical journey inspired by The Beatles and James Taylor, teaching himself guitar. After a period working in politics, Kirby returned to music in 1988, relocating to Key West, Florida, where he performed nightly and began writing songs His first CD, Too Damn Yankee, was recorded at Jimmy Buffett’s Shrimpboat Sound Studio with Peter and Jim Mayer and Roger Guth. Over the years, he has recorded multiple albums, including Row Me Home, produced by Russ Kunkel. In addition to all of that, Scott is hell of a nice guy!!! You'll love him and his music.
