Scott Clay’s sixth studio album ‘Jade’, released in May 2024, peeks underneath the layers of traditional Americana to reveal the Nashville songwriter in the midst of his alchemical storytelling.Complex yet uncomplicated, the album's eleven tracks roam from funky 60s inspired riffs to modern experimental folk ballads, while his unabashed lyrics and distinctive voice invite listeners on an introspective journey.
Over the years Clay has shared the stage with notable acts such as Drayton Farley, The Brothers Reed, and Ian Jones. His journey as a performing artist has also brought him to the UK on 3 separate tours.
Testing out the British waters earlier in October 2023, he joined forces with Dave Hemingway’s Sunbirds, a member of the renowned British band The Beautiful South, and has been called back to return with Sunbirds for another round of UK shows in 2024 as well as shows throughout the US.
Scott's new album 'Jade' was recently described by B-Side Guys as "a work of art that showcases the very best of what Americana music has to offer. With his unparalleled storytelling, rich musicality, and fearless exploration of the genre’s many dimensions, Scott Clay has created a masterpiece that will stand the test of time. “Jade” is a triumph of artistic vision and a celebration of the enduring spirit of American music."
Aurora Music Video - Americana UK "The language is direct and real, placing us authentically right in that moment when the light show begins."
American Songwriter "...his songwriting, more than anything else, imbues the album with a sense of wonder. Its ten sleepless tracks amount to a warmly melancholic self-portrait."
Helen Wren is a Yorkshire-born singer songwriter who has been part of several bands and duos across the Americana genre for the past decade.
This she year she has begun to focus heavily on her solo venture, writing and recording songs that reflect on love, loss, hope and her unique spirituality.
Reading Chronicle has described Helen as "combining the fierceness of Stevie Nicks with the vulnerability of Jewel."
