$40 buy in per team includes green fee plus Calcutta, optional-each team can buy 1 extra chip for $10, all extra chip money is added to the pot
We will start tournament with a race to 2 for the first hour, we will then transition to a race to 1 to speed things along
Taking money/practice play between 630 and 700, Calcutta starts 715 730
What makes a chip tournament unique and fun is the format. All teams will start with VIRTUAL chips based off their team rankings below
Team Skill level and chip count
SL 6&7 start with 8 chips
SL 8&9 start with 7 chips
SL 10&11 start with 6 chips
SL 12&13 starts with 5 chips
SL 14&15 start with 4 chips
👉Any team who wins 5 games in a row, will be rewarded with 1 extra chip( only 1 reward chip per team/per tournament)
👉Teams are then shuffled thru a randomized draw, the first teams are assigned to the open tables.
👉Incoming team has the break. Rack your own, flip or lag for break for first matches of the night
👉The losing team reports to the Tournament Director desk and a new opponent/team will be assigned the next match, winning team remains at the same table, TD can assist as needed👈
👉Players must remain inside the building while in the tournament. Have respect for everyone and be ready to shoot when it's your turn. We cannot wait on karaoke or smoke breaks outside. It's best to check with the TD if you want to sing or step outside. Any team who cannot be found in a reasonable amount of time(2 to 3 minutes) will forfeit a chip and move to the end of the 'waiting to play' list without notice. There are exceptions for bathroom breaks or other important issues.
👉Wait times between matches averaged around 15 to 20 minutes, much less as teams get knocked out
👉9 ball does not count on the break, spots up immediately, unless it impedes the first shot after the break, this also goes for anytime throughout the rack
👉👉You must call your 9 ball to win the game, if not, it will be your opponents turn to shoot and the 9 ball spots up The opponent does not get ball in hand if a legal shot was made on the uncalled 9 ball
👉Slow play will not be tolerated, as it is not fair to others involved, all games are monitored by a time clock
👉Push and jump allowed, no 3 foul
👉Rankings based off your current skill handicap
👉24 team max
👉Payouts based on 1st, 2nd, 3rd places, etc.
👉Play will continue until one team remains with chips
👉👉Please keep in mind, this is done on a computer generated program and the chips are VIRTUAL, you don't actually hold your chips. The Tournament Director can update you on your chip count at the start of your next match or you can view your current CHIP count on the additional monitor provided at the TD table.
This format is fast paced, as each assigned table is only playing one game. Players need to be ready to play at a moments notice.
Handicaps are the same as our normal 9ball/ ball count tourneys. However this will be a race to 2/1, calling your money ball, chips are distributed as explained above,
