Scorching Bay is on Wellington’s south coast. It’s a twenty-minute drive from the city, and there are buses. With a large grass verge, soft sand, it is mostly sheltered from the wind, there are public toilets and a cafe right on its doorstep, it's a good place to spend an afternoon by the sea. Wear steampunk/ victorian swimwear, or similar summerwear, protect yourself from the sun with parasols and big hats or knotted hankerchiefs and be prepared to paddle in the sea and enjoy ourselves. If you have some old fashioned beach games please bring them. let us know in the comments if you are comming.
