Science Utah -- Mycology in a New World: What Can Fungi Do For You?

This talk will explore the Kingdom of Fungi, in all it's wild wonders. We will investigate the many applications of fungal biology for landscaping, cooling the planet, conserving water, and fighting disease. Aimed at all levels for anyone that's ever been curious about Fungi and symbioses!

PETER PELLITIER grew up in the wet woods of the Pacific Northwest. He completed his undergraduate studies at Pomona College, his PhD at the University of Michigan, and Postdoctoral research at Stanford University. He is a passionate student of symbioses in all forms, be it plant-fungal symbionts, or coral reefs.

This event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Please reserve only the number of tickets you will use.
