Science Saturday: Mushrooms
Advertisement
Join David Porter on the Woodlawn trails for a walk focused on fungi and mushrooms.
Fungi are essential to the ecological functioning of our forests and fields. They may be parasites, decomposers or cooperating companions, but in all roles they are capturing and converting carbon for their growth and reproduction. On our ramble along the Woodlawn trails, we will observe the range of fungal diversity and see evidence of fungal lives and the results of their activity.
This workshop is all outside, so be sure to dress for the weather.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
The Science Saturday Series is sponsored by: The City of Ellsworth
