Boxcar presents our very first Science on Screen® on Saturday April 11th, starting at 5pm. Science on Screen is An initiative of the COOLIDGE CORNER THEATRE, with major support from the ALFRED P. SLOAN FOUNDATION and features creative pairings of current, classic, cult, and documentary films with lively introductions by notable figures from the world of science, technology, and medicine.
Our first pairing combines the recent blockbuster TWISTERS, a 2025 TIFF Sloan Science on Film Showcase award recipient, with a pre-show discussion from First Alert 12 Meteorologist Amanda Curran. Amanda will bring her years of experience and discuss “Alabama's 5th Season: why severe weather is possible any time of the year and what tools meteorologists use predict the unpredictable”
