Join us for our third year of summer movies, this time in a park instead of parking lot! We will kick off with The Extraordinary Caterpillar, an engaging documentary about the incredible role that moths play in ecosystems, and the vital role of native plants in our landscapes. It features some extraordinary photography. Watch the trailer here: https://homegrownnationalpark.org/extraordinary-caterpillar/
The movie is an hour long, but come early and stay late: CoosWA staff will give a short presentation about pollinators, moths, and native plants before the movie starts, and will set up a "moth wall" (white sheet with a lamp) so we can see which moths come out after dark in the park!
Event is free, and pizza and popcorn are provided (while supplies last). We encourage people to bring snacks/picnic, something to sit on, and layers to keep you warm after dark!
