About this Event
Age group: 7-10 year old.
Join us for an exciting experience in the heart of Valletta! This event is perfect for nature enthusiasts, families, and anyone curious about the wildlife in urban spaces . Through different activities, such as an engaging quiz and a treasure hunt, kids get the chance to learn specifically about the urban forager that is the White Wagtail. Have you ever noticed this charming bird scurry through the streets as though time is of the essence or listened to the thousands of small monochromatic birds triggered by the fading light, fly into the trees in Valletta to roost? Find out what challenges they encounter, which trees they prefer and what we can do to ensure their safety?
After the workshop, members of BirdLife Malta will be carrying out the 50 year old tradition of bird counting as flocks of Wagtails fly in from all over Malta to roost Valletta. So binoculars to the ready and don’t forget to book your free ticket today!
This workshop is a collaboration between BirdLife Malta and Science in the City as part of the Science in the City post-festival event.
