Science and Safety in Performer Rigging

This 8hr workshop from Fight or Flight Ent has been presented internationally for the past 16 years, and now comes to Milwaukee. An intensive practical and lecture workshop focusing on the Art, the Science and the Safety of Performer Rigging. Suitable for anyone involved in the Aerial Arts, Circus, Stunts, Theatre, and anywhere performers are off the ground.
This workshop delves into Performer Loads, Safety Factors, Risk Assessment and Risk Reduction, Rigging locations and Venues, Equipment choices, Knots, Pulley Systems and Mechanical Advantage and compliance with the existing ANSI Performer Flying Standards. The Workshop is constantly updated to the questions and concerns prevalent in the Performer Rigging community. Each participant gets a letter of completion which satisfies Aerial Teacher Training programs and Insurance requirements.
Brett Copes of FoFE is an Acrobatic Rigger, Stunt Rigger and Performer Flying specialist with 20+ years of experience. Having worked for companies Cirque Du Soleil, Marvel Universe, Cavalia, IATSE, ShowRig, Peter Pan 360, Venardos Circus and many film/tv productions. Specializing in Safety and Training, Brett has taught this workshop for USITT, Acrobatic Arts Festival, ESA Conference, and over 100+ Aerial Arts and Circus studios on 4 continents.
