Schwimmbad & The Toxic Hearts
Born from a shared love of 1990s punk rock, Schwimmbad & The Toxic Hearts came together to
honour the spirit and songs of Basel’s legendary band Schwimmbad, following the passing of lead
singer Timo Reissner. With a setlist celebrating the group’s most iconic tracks, the band aims to
thrill longtime fans while introducing Schwimmbad’s music to a new generation of punk listeners.
Original members Michel and Kevin are joined by Romy of the equally renowned Toxic
Guineapigs, along with bassist Ruben from the 2000s Basel folk-punk outfit She Mails. Completing
the lineup is singer-guitarist Keith from Irish punk rock band Valentino is Dead, adding fresh drive
and edge to the sound.
Rooted in Basel’s rich punk heritage, Schwimmbad & The Toxic Hearts blend nostalgia with new
energy on stage, keeping the legacy alive while pushing it forward.

Audioactivity – pure rock energy from Basel with an international edge. The band blends powerful original compositions rooted in the grunge and alternative sounds of the ’90s with passionate covers of icons like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Audioslave, Guns N’ Roses, and the Smashing Pumpkins. Their sound is raw, honest, and uncompromising – a tribute to an era that shaped rock history.
