Schuylkill Township Community Presentation: The Microscopic Life of Pennsylvania Waters
The Schuylkill Township Environmental Advisory Council is hosting a community presentation on Thursday, October 29th at 7:00 pm at the township building conference room.
"More Than Meets the Eye: The Microscopic Life of Pennsylvania Waters"
The lakes, ponds, and streams of Pennsylvania are alive with creatures too small to see with the naked eye. Join John Lisowski — a 42-year Schuylkill Township resident and Pennsylvania Master Naturalist co-leader who traded a 37-year career in healthcare IT for a passion for biology, microscopy, and natural history — for a brief introduction to light microscopy and a video tour of the fascinating microscopic life found in our local waterways. Learn why these tiny organisms matter and how you can start exploring the microscopic world yourself!
