The newly remodeled Goodfellas Warehouse at 1105 S Centre St. in Pottsville will host Schuylkill Original Metal Fest on Saturday, Dec. 5, featuring three powerhouse original metal bands.
Headlining is Balistic, of Hershey, returning for its first live shows in more than 20 years. The band is supporting its new album The Parson’s Tale, which earned a Best Metal Band nomination at the Central Pennsylvania Musicians Hall of Fame awards earlier this year. Balistic will perform the album in full, using video and imagery to follow a story of the seven deadly sins and their corresponding virtues — a clash of light and darkness. The set will also include newly arranged versions of older Balistic songs, with updated vocals from the current lineup, and possibly a surprise or two.
Spinebelt, a 20-year veteran of the regional scene, brings its industrial-tinged metal as a heavy counterpart to the headliner.
Opening is Symetria, of Schuylkill County. The band recently opened for Metal Church at Reverb in Reading and played Coal Region Music Fest. They’ll start the night with a mix of old-school and modern metal.
Doors open at 6 p.m.; music starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. The show is 21 and over and non-smoking.
We hope to see Schuylkill County metal fans turn out in force to support the local original music scene and what it has to offer as we unleash a night of metal on the big stage !
“Welcome to The Parson’s Tale … my name is Lucifer, and I will be your host.”
