Doors Open!

Have your tickets ready to scan! Doors open at 5AM. Once you enter show your ticket to receive the appropriate passes & tokens for your brunch and stein/Das boot. The barrel-tapping doesn't occur until 6AM so take this time to grab a free coffee scout out your sitting area and grab your brunch option.

Barrel-Tapping

Shortly before 6AM enjoy a welcome speech to our 8th Annual Oktoberfest and then join-in on the countdown to the barrel-tapping. Once the first beer is poured we don't stop until everyone has received their pour! Hand your stein/Das boot ticket over to one of the lovely bartenders and they'll fill 'em up!

Masskrugstemmen

It's stein-hoisting time! 10-15 men and women are welcome to sign up for the Masskrugstemmen. Sign-ups are available in person shortly before the start of the contest.

The Barrel-Tapping Celebrations have officially come to a close! Doors now open to the public so call in any buddies that missed out on getting a ticket and enjoy the Oktoberfest atmosphere a little longer

Experience a piece of Munich’s Oktoberfest right here in Knoxville

Schulz Bräu is proud to host our 10th annual German Oktoberfest and we're kicking things off just like they do in Germany. We follow Munich time which means when the first keg is tapped at 12:00 PM in Munich it’s 6:00 AM here in Knoxville. That’s when we pour our very first Oktoberfest Liter.

We’ll stream the live tapping ceremony from Munich on all 14 TVs and across the Biergarten jumbotrons so you can celebrate alongside the official opening moment.

Doors open to ticket holders at 5:00 AM. Your ticket includes:

Early admission to the Biergarten

One full liter of Oktoberfest beer poured from our imported hand-crafted wooden barrels

A light Bavarian breakfast

Live polka music from Mike and Sande of the Knoxville Polka Kings

A take-home keepsake based on your ticket type:

This event uses community-style seating just like in Munich. There are no reserved seats and you’ll want to arrive early to sit with your group. Most seating is open air and covered seating is not guaranteed so please dress accordingly and plan ahead.

Dirndls and Lederhosen are encouraged if you want to dress the part and add to the fun. Whether you’re a die-hard Oktoberfest fan or just want to experience something special with friends this is a one-of-a-kind way to kick off the season.

Frequently asked questions

*Is this event wheelchair-accessible? 

Yes aside from our upstairs Mezzanine loft the entirety of our brewery is wheelchair accessible. However we do advise caution when exploring the brick-laid biergarten.

*Is this event child-friendly?

For this event all ticket holders must have a valid 21+ driver's license. Once the event ends at 9AM our brewery returns to the family-friendly policy that we usually keep in place. 

*Are there vegetarian options available for the brunch?

Our Kaiserschmarrn is vegetarian (contains eggs and milk)

*Is outside food/drink allowed?

Yes and no. Outside food is allowed into the brewery. Aside from water absolutely no outside drinks are permitted into the brewery. 

*What if there's bad weather?

This event is Rain-or-Shine. The barrel-tapping will still take place in the biergarten regardless of weather. No refunds due to weather.

*Where to park?

Parking is available across the street at our guest parking lot along the street of Bernard Avenue and in the Health Department parking lot. All parking is free.
