You're invited to explore the one-room schools of Butler County with this self-guided driving tour on Saturday, September 12 from 10 am - 4 pm
Enjoy free admission to several historic schoolhouses and learn about the different aspects of schools and education in early America and beyond as we commemorate America 250PA! Volunteer docents will be on hand at each school with self-guiding activities and will be ready to share their knowledge and passion for local history.
Get a star on your "report card" for attendance at four or more schools and be entered for a chance to win one of seven raffle baskets!
Schools on the 2026 Tour include:
Crocker School, located in The Birdwatchers Store, Slippery Rock
Euclid School, Clay Township
Foltz School, Brady Township
Forsythe/Vogel School, Adams Township
Little Red School House, Butler
Sample School, Cranberry Township
Six Points School, Allegheny Township )*includes a craft festival!*)
