Departing from the grand Toowoomba Railway Station, you’ll travel aboard DownsSteam’s exquisitely restored Commissioner Railmotors to Drayton, home of DownsSteam Toowoomba. Here, guests will enjoy:
A guided tour of our award-winning gardens, museum, and Dreamtime Journey Coach.
An exclusive behind-the-scenes look inside our active workshop.
The opportunity to step aboard restored heritage carriages and learn their stories.
Time to relax at our café and sausage sizzle, perfect for families and groups.
At 1:00 pm, your railmotor departs Drayton for the return journey to Toowoomba, completing a unique 2.5-hour holiday adventure designed for locals, visitors, and families seeking a fun and educational outing.

#Trip Itinerary
11:00 am – Depart Toowoomba Railway Station aboard the Commissioner Railmotors
11:30 am – 1:00 pm – Tour DownsSteam’s gardens, museum, Dreamtime Journey Coach, and workshop, with café and sausage sizzle available
1:00 pm – Depart Drayton for the return journey
1:30 pm – Arrive back at Toowoomba Railway Station

Please plan to arrive at Toowoomba Railway Station at least 30 minutes before departure.
This trip starts and finishes at Toowoomba Railway Station in the centre of town, please ensure all guests navigate to Toowoomba Railway Station.
Onboard toilets are available on both railmotors.
Concession fares are not available for this trip.
We will endeavour to honour advance seating requests; however, seating may be reassigned at any time for operational, safety, or other reasonable purposes.
Tickets are $40 Adult, $20 Child under 16, $100 Family (2 Adults and 2 Children). Children under 2 not requiring a seat are free.
