Three days before the Vermont Symphony Orchestra takes the stage at the Flynn, join VSO Music Director Andrew Crust and Artistic Advisor Matt LaRocca at the Venetian Soda Lounge for a lively happy hour exploring the fascinating stories behind our September 19 program, . Learn about an adventurous 18th century Vermont lesbian couple, a Shakespearean heroine, an Egyptian queen, and even Icelandic art-pop icon Björk as Andrew and Matt uncork the history and surprising connections behind this eclectic program. Sip your favorite drink, sample some charcuterie, ask questions, and discover why knowing the backstory makes the program even more unforgettable as we head towards the VSO’s 2026/27 season premiere a few days later.
