Amber Williams is a talented local artist from Colona, Illinois, known for creating breathtaking collage artwork. We invite you to join us for an exclusive evening at Art on the Bend, where you can meet the artist and experience her exceptional work in one captivating exhibition.

"I spent most of my memorable life searching for a something that was found somewhere in the Rocky Mountains, during a magical week in May 2021. A much-needed respite introduced me to the Rocky Mountains, seen in person for the first time, during that very tender week of awe. We promised to come back…
We returned to Colorado in July 2023—staying in Arvada, Buena Vista, Estes Park, and then Boulder. Our loop took us through several beautiful towns. At each turn, we chose the scenic route, driving through and over the continental divide multiple times. The beauty and altitude took my breath away, feeling so overwhelmed in ways that I still cannot describe in words. I took hundreds of snapshots, followed by dozens of sketches, and eventually created this series of collages. The process was very slow and deliberate, resulting in my most heavily saturated series of layers.
With my art, and now in person, I shall always long to revisit The Mountains. "

Art on the Bend in located in the Rustbelt common area in East Moline IL. Snacks will be provided, and beverages will be available for purchase next door at Midwest Ale Works.
Art on the Bend hosts a new local artist each month and has their gallery exhibition the 2nd Thursday of the month. Events are always 6pm - 9pm.
