The South Carolina Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (SCEAFCS) is excited to host the 2026 Annual Meeting — a day dedicated to professional development, networking, and celebrating our collective impact.

As part of this year's annual meeting, Children’s Trust of South Carolina will provide a 2-hour training on Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Building Resilience. Science shows a strong relationship between the adversity we experience as children and negative health and well-being as adults. By better understanding ACEs, what they are, and how they can manifest years later, communities can work to prevent future abuse and improve outcomes for South Carolina’s children and families.
This professional development opportunity will help attendees define the impact of ACEs, identify protective factors, and explore how to apply protective factors personally and professionally. Attendees are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to expand their expertise and strengthen their professional capacity.
