SCAVENGER HUNT / ROAD RALLY

This is a combined day trip (with dinner after) across the city while visiting designated pit stops, completing tasks and discovering great places and people in Ottawa. We will take you from the west to the east of the city.
The event is for women of identify as lesbian, trans, Two-Spirit, bi, poly, pan, and queer or questioning, including non-binary lesbians.
This is a TEAM EVENT that requires a vehicle that seats 3-4 people with a team size of min/max of 3-4 people. REGISTRATION COST PER CAR IS $80. This includes your food and NA beverage after you cross the finish line.
This is NOT A RACE. Your team is limited to 3 hours to get your task list done. The more tasks completed the more points your team gets.
Food and non-alcoholic beverage (included in your admission price) will be served at the finish line.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
- prizes, a lot of laughs, bragging rights, great memories
WHAT YOU NEED
- a really good driver who focuses on road safety and getting you across the finish line
- a navigator to follow the task list and manage directions
-two more people that can help complete the tasks that you will have to complete
- we recommend a clipboard because lesbians love clipboards
- pack snacks and beverages because you are on the road for 3 hours and don't want to waste time
- at least one person who knows how to take pictures/ use a smart phone and send photos throughout the rally
- a team name and team costumes (prizes awarded for the best presentation)
MYSTERY STARTING LOCATION will be announced a week before the event. It will be in the west end of Ottawa.
The final destination is at THE ORANGE BARN event space (lesbian owned and operated) located at 3184 Frank Kenny Rd, Navan, Ontario.
WHAT THE ORGANIZERS NEED:
- A MINIMUM OF 20 CARS MUST PARTICIPATE, a min/max of 3-4 people per car/ $80 per car IF 20 CARS DON'T REGISTER, THE EVENT DOESN'T MOVE FORWARD
- do not bring your pets
- do not bring your own alcohol (there will be a cash bar at the Orange Barn)
- bring your humour, sense of adventure and love of team sports
- we will need volunteers to help (don't have a car or know enough folks to join a team--you can help us!)
- we understand that everyone on your team may not be 50+yo, we aren't carding folks as part of joining, they must be 19+
